Women’s Ministry Bellevue Gardens Field Trip

June 22

We have planned an outing to Bellevue Gardens (a 52-acre botanical garden) on June 22 from 9 am to 3 pm.  We will start a signup sheet next week, so we can organize transportation.  The cost is $5 per person to cover the tip for an hour and half guided tour.  You can bring a bag lunch or eat at the food court.  If you have questions, contact Marcia Brodersen.

Vacation Bible School!

July 15 - July 19

Our 2019 Summer Seaquest Vacation Bible School will take place Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19, from 9:00am - 12:00pm.   Help with VBS Setup, July 13 Additionally, we need all hands on deck for VBS Set-up Day, Saturday JULY 13th, at 9:30am - 12:30pm and Sunday night after evening service. We take a little pride in the magnificent transformation to the church our decoration team pulls off each year for this great week, but it's a lot of work! We have three picnics at Whittier Park, on the third Saturday of each summer month: June 15, July 20th, and August 17. We schedule them from 4:00 to 8:00 with dinner at about 6:00. WHYSpeak Summer Speech Camp

Covenant High School will host a summer speech camp in conjunction with a homeschool debate league. This will take place July 22-24 and cost $95 per student. Our final summer picnic is August 17 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, with dinner at about 6:00pm. Some people bring something to share, but we have lots of beef hotdogs on the BBQ and other food and drinks. Better English on Sixth offers free English classes and individual tutoring. All our staff are volunteers which is why we can offer these services completely free of charge.

Congregational Meeting Sunday Evening, Aug 18 A property adjacent to the church has become available for purchase. A meeting of the Joint Officers was held on July 28, and the Joint Officers are unanimously recommending the purchase of the property to the congregation. A congregational meeting will be held following the evening service on August 18, 2019 at 7:30 pm, here in the sanctuary to approve the purchase.
