The land of Israel is also called the Land Between.  Did you know that whenever you read city names and place names in the Bible you are being told about geography, politics and international relationships?  Israel is located between Egypt, Arabia, Moab, Ammon, Babylon, Assyria, and Phoenicia and it is in a crucial spot for trade and travel in that area.  A little knowledge of the geography and topology and history bring the Bible to life in ways you’ve never imagined.
